LLOYD MCKELVEY Obituary

LLOYD E. "BUTCH" MCKELVEY Lloyd E. "Butch" McKelvey, 80, of Clarington, Ohio, died Saturday, March 23, 2024, at home. He was born November 28, 1943, in Bellaire, Ohio, the son of the late Charles L. and Helen G. Winkler McKelvey. Butch loved playing cards and dominoes, enjoyed hunting and was a Methodist by faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma (Harry) Miller and Iva (Bill) Jeffers; two brothers, Jeffrey and Donald McKelvey; and a brother-in-law, Dale Ruckman. Survivors include four sisters, Janet L. Kress of Woodsfield, Ohio, Ruth (Paul) Jones of Clarington, Sue (Jack) Keen of Weirton and Sandra Ruckman of Woodsfield; four brothers, Kenny (Karen) McKelvey, James (Debbie) McKelvey of Clarington, Charles L. McKelvey Jr. of Wheeling, and Douglas D. McKelvey of Clarington; a sister-in-law, Linda McKelvey; numerous nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Hank. Family received friends on Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home, 125 Clarinda Drive, Clarington, where funeral services were held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Darla Schnegg officiating. Interment followed in Zion Memorial Garden, Sardis, Ohio. Sympathy expressions to grisellfuneralhomes.com.
