Willard was a neighbor and friend during his working years when he lived on Liberty Drive before he moved to Turkey Creek. We visited about the "old times" when we were both in high school and graduated the same year, Willard at Junctin City and me at McPherson. In football our senior year, MHS and Junction City tied. Willard was a Wildcat, and I a Jay Hawk. I was saddended when he moved because I messed our neighborly visits which I remember fondly. Willard's life cycle was long, productive and well lived. We know his famiy will miss him, but we all have fond memories.
