Brett Sorensen Obituary

Brett Michael Sorensen was born on November 3, 1971 in
Omaha, Nebraska to Richard and Candace Sorensen and passed away on July 18, 2007 at UC Davis Medical
Center in Sacramento, California at the age of 35 years.
Brett spent his early years in Fremont, Nebraska before the family moved to Fremont, California in 1987 where Brett graduated from Washington High School. Brett married the love of his life Estella Burden on June 17, 2000 and to this union they have 2 precious sons Christopher 3 years old and Jonathan 10 months old. Brett is also survived by his parents Richard and Candace Sorensen of Union City, California and his brother Scott Sorensen and his family of Brentwood, California. Brett and Estella moved to Winton, California when he joined the Federal Penitentiary as a Correction Officer in 20021. In 2006 he promoted to an Executive Assistance at the “CAMP”. In 2007 he received the award for excellent in his performance. Brett was a self defense instructor and part of the DCT team. Brett had many passions, he was faithful to the Nebraska Corn Huskers, loved to go fishing and playing Golf going to the movies and playing is video games, most of all he loved playing with his sons and his niece Victoria and nephews Nathan and Zachary and spending time with his wife. Brett was a Black Belt in two forms of martial arts first in Tae Kwon Do and progressing to his Black Belt in Shun Ru.  
Visitation for Brett will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 from the hours of 11:00am to 8:00pm at Ivers and Alcorn Funeral Home 3050 Winton Way Atwater, California.
Funeral Services for Brett will be on Thursday, July 26, 2007 at 10:00am at Christian Life Center with Pastor Eug Breinig Officiating. 650 East Olive Ave, Merced, California.  Burial to follow at Winton Cemetery 7651 W. Almond Ave, Winton, California
