Joshua Van Sickle Obituary

Joshua Ray Van Sickle

March 13, 1984 - February 20, 2025

Merced, California - On March 13, 1984 Joshua Ray Van Sickle took his first breath and was welcomed into the world by his mother Debra Van Sickle and father Steven Van Sickle.

The Life of the party!!! And always up for one. He was a man who was always up for an adventure, loved the outdoors, building things, a plethora of music, riding quads, boating, or really anything fast and on wheels! Later in his life he fell in love with flying. He was a little ornery, a lot sarcastic, a smidgen of a smarta** and a hell of a prankster, but above all had a kind and tender heart. The person he loved the hardest was his wife Kathleen. For Josh and Kathleen things might have started off a bit crabby (if you know, you know), and within a week they knew they were made for each other. The two loved each other for 13 years. Josh's love for his family was paramount to all else, if you were fortunate enough to be in his circle then you knew you were loved by him because when he loved he loved hard. Josh took his last breath in this world on February 20, 2025 while being showered with love by his family and friends. Josh is preceded in death by his best friend and brother Scott Mitchell, grandmother Peggy Mitchell, uncle Stanley Mitchell, and friends Matt Salles and Justin Richardson. Josh leaves behind his wife Kathleen Van Sickle, mother Debra Van Sickle, father Steven Van Sickle, sister Sarah Hernandez, nephew and niece Kane and Amelia Hernandez, niece and nephews Gabby, Kendon, Nolan and Hunter Randol, cousins Kimberly Mitchell and Cassie Salles, grandparents Nancy and Marvin Brown, as well as brothers-in-law Patrick Hernandez and Josh and Spencer Randol. Josh's final farewell will be held on Thursday February 27th, 2025 at Henderson park in Snelling CA from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. As Josh would say.."See you on the other side".
