Matthew is survived by his mother Elaine Carr, his father Clarence Carr and his step-daughters Marissa Gonzales and Megan Edwards. He will be greatly missed by his siblings Michael Carr, Michelle Polizzo and Melani McDowell.
A Celebration of Matthew's Life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements entrusted to Wilson Family Funeral Chapel.

I think of you Matt and what is important is that your memory is very important to our family. One thing to keep Matts memory alive is what soldiers say when they put flowers and wreaths on graves on Memorial Day is the person name. If the name is said, even by one person, that person will be kept alive in memory. Miss you.

Hey Matt,
There are few people in this world that could light up a room like you could. I am sorry that you lived so far away and our visits were so few. Your leaving has left an empty spot in many peoples lives, including mine. I will miss the smiles and hugs you so freely passed out each time I saw you. It was like coming home. A ray of sunshine.
This one memory won't leave me alone so I guess it is meant to be included here. I will always treasure the day Penny and I came visiting one last time before you and your mom moved Auntie Claris from Portland to Atwater. Where you could watch over Auntie Claris and keep her safe. That day turned out to be even more special than I could have ever imagined. I have thought of it often. You and I went hunting for a very large cardboard box, styrofoam, etc. to safely transport your gramma's curio cabinet, without breaking the curved glass on the front. Remember we even did some dumpster diving to get the right stuff. We were determined to find just the right stuff. We were like a couple of kids on a treasure hunt. What wonderful memories I have of that day. A day I was blessed to spend part of with just you. You understood how important that curio cabinet was to your gramma. If it didn't get to Atwater whole it wasn't because we did not try.
I will always remember your warmth, your smile and your funny side. You just naturally watched out for others. You are missed greatly. Keep watch over us. If I head in the wrong direction feel free to nudge me in the right direction.
