Albert Romeo Obituary

ROMEO, Albert Joseph-- May 1, 1980 - March 17, 2002. Albie Romeo was a special soul whom God was gracious enough to allow us, Frank and Gena Romeo, his parents, the privilege of guiding and loving him in this life. Now God will allow us to be guided by Albie into the next life, eternal with God.
He brought joy and comfort to all whom he met and touched through his generous and gentle heart. Our lives were enriched by his time here. His heart was kind and giving and he most often thought of others before himself. He will be sorely missed and his goodness is a great loss to us and to this world.
He leaves behind in great sadness his beloved grandmothers Jean Kelly and Grace Romeo, his aunt Barbara and uncle Harlan Jackson, his uncle Tom Kelly, auntie Connie Romeo, his auntie Jan Romeo, uncle Charles Romeo and his wife Caroline Romeo. He also leaves behind in great sadness his cousins Lisa and Kelly Jackson, John Kelly, Charlene Romeo and her husband Cesar Lozoya, Christopher and Christina Romeo, Joey Romeo and his wife Linda Romeo. His beloved God-parents, great-uncle Albie and great-auntie Mary Romeo, great-aunt Dorothy Juri, great-aunt Mona Kelly, great-aunt Betty Passanisi, great-uncle Joe and great-auntie Stella Riccio, great-uncle Vince and great-auntie Ada Passanisi, and his much loved great-uncle Tony Romeo.
He was preceded in death by grandfathers Thomas E. Kelly and Joseph Romeo. His great-grandparents Frank and Carmela Passanisi and great-grandparents Carlo and Concetta Romeo, and great-grandparents John and Gertrude Kelly and great-grandparents John Peter and Mary Eugenia Sheehan. His great-uncle Elgin Juri, great-uncle Jack Kelly, great-uncle Joe Passanisi, great-uncle Dominic and great-auntie Vera Romeo, great auntie Vera Romeo, wife of great-uncle Tony Romeo, great-uncle Bob and great-aunt Dorothea Noonan, great-aunt Ruth Sullivan and cousin Elgin Juri Jr.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 6, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church, Belle and Tamarack, San Carlos, CA 94070. A Reception immediately following will be held in the St. Charles Barromeo Hall, (behind the church), to Celebrate Albie's life and to help comfort each other but especially all his good friends who are so sad and lost without him. The family request that all who loved Albie will write or tape all their happy memories and share their Albie stories to help comfort us and each other in this tragic loss. Albie's parents request that donations be sent in his honor to the Catholic Newman Center, 5855 Hardy Ave., San Diego, CA 92115. Attention Father Ricardo.

Albie was one of the people I respected most in the world. I treasure his friendship as one of the greatest gifts I have ever received. Albie understood me in a way no one else ever has and allowed me to be a better person just by knowing him. My comfort is knowing that Albie is safe and happy, I just miss him a whole lot.
