I met Alex in a trip to an italian course in Rome, I recently found out about his passing and it brings me a lot of sadness. He was a great, good hearted man. Always with a smile on his face. He and his family are in my prayers. My deepest condolences.

Alex, I watched you develop from the most innocent little boy to an exemplary young man with great expectations in this world. You are the pride of your family; you always walked in the righteous path. I am sad that none of us will get to see you begin a professional career, nor dance at your wedding, nor see you hold your child at his/her birthday party. My condolences to your mama and papa for the tremendous loss.

Dorita, me ha dado un dolor muy grande saber la perdida de tu hijo. No tuve el placer de conocerlo, pero me imagino que teniendote a ti de mama, el ha de haber sido una persona magnifica. Alex, although we were never very close you were always a light in the room. I walk with a heavy heart knowing that you're gone but it makes me smile to know that your legacy and love for life will live on through everyone who had the fortune to encounter you. We never had the chance to make that bonfire but you have sparked an eternal flame that will forever burn in our hearts. We all miss you more than you know.

Alex was an amazing young man that I feel I feel very blessed to have known him. He'd always have a great smile when we would see him around the neighborhood and would always take the time to stop and chat with Paul and I.
We will really miss him. He was really a bright light in our lives. Our heart goes out to you both.

My deepest sympathy to your family. Alex was a good friend of my son Taylor and had the privilege of meeting him numerous times at my home. I adored him and he knew it. Alex would always give me a hug when he was hear, and would sit and talk to me about his trips to Italy and Spain. He once wrote me a note on my whiteboard when I wasn't here, and I never erased it because it always made me smile to see it. I am so THANKFUL I still have it and will keep it, so I can remember him. What a devastating loss to everyone. It breaks my heart to see my son Taylor in so much pain. He was a true light for everyone. He will bring a lot of smiles to everyone in heaven, but will be missed deeply her on Earth.

Heaven truly has gained an angel. Alex, you will be missed by everyone with whom you've ever come in contact. It's hard to find someone who is as genuine, kind-hearted, and caring as you. You are literally the nicest, happiest person I've ever met, and I've never once second-guessed your sincerity. I'm sorry that I never got to prove to you that Mississippi really does make better hot tamales than anywhere else or be with you as you experience your first Mardi Gras in New Orleans. I was honored to have shared a room with you for a couple months in Rome, and you taught me several things: wake up early and eat breakfast, seize the day, and have fun in everything you do... I wish we could have spent more time together, buddy.
