I BEEN GETTING MY HAIR CUT BY CARLOS FOR YEARS AND HE WAS SO SKILLFUL AND KIND OF ANY BARBER I HAVE EVER HAD. IT WILL BE HARD FOR ME TO REPLACE HIM.

Our sincere sympathy to the Diaz family. Carlos has been my husband Ron's barber for almost 30 years. I had the opportunity to meet Carlos and listen to his wonderful stories while Ron had his hair cut. Being a hairdresser in the 70's....I loved to watch Carlos cut hair. He was a "one of a kind" barber. We just found out about his death today and are very saddened. He was so very proud of his family and his heritage. We will miss stopping in to visit with Carlos. May his soul rest in peace. Ron & Loretta Silva

Our sincerest condolences to Carlos' family. Carlos was my family barber and friend for the past 35 years. We shared family news and world events together over the years, during our visits to the Golden Wheel Barber Shop. He is deeply missed. You have moved on, Carlos, from the Golden Wheel to the Golden Firmament. Rest in Peace Carlos.

We just read the wonderful article by Scott Herhold. It was perfect. My husband has been seeing Carlos for years and then he took our son with him. Many times I took Kevin and watched Carlos work. Greeting customers and chatting because everyone was a friend, not just a customer. They had some great conversations there and I would always here about it when they came home. Even when I'd take our son, he always made me feel comfortable seeing there waiting and I enjoyed visiting with him. He was just an all around great guy who loved his customers but most of all his family. We are so sorry we can't attend the services on Saturday.
Our deepest sympathy and prayers to his family.
We will miss you, Carlos

Dear Olga,Carlos Jr.and family,
Just heard the news of Carlos passing away.Although we never met you, we feel like we know you. My husband Barry and son Lawrence had their hair cut with Carlos for many years.Lawrence always enjoyed paying for his hair cut and giving Carlos a tip. Also, buying him a Diet Dr.Pepper
Cherry flaver drink after a job well done. He always spoke very highly of his childen and grandkids. We will miss his gentle friendly personality.
The only barber patient and willing to cut Lorenzo's hair and able to get a smile out of Lorenzo.

Dear Olga---I was so deeply saddened to read about Carlos's passing.
For once, I am at a loss for words. I keep wanting to call my brother to tell him that Carlos is gone but I lost my brother in October so I guess they are looking down at all of us now. Of course I met Carlos because he cut my brother's hair, my husband's, my brother-in-laws and my two son's hair. My husband always said that a man only has one barber in life and that now that Carlos is gone, he will never get a hair cut again. I will miss our deep and heartfelt conversations about being the parents of a son with Down Syndrome. I learned a lot from Carlos. I will miss how patient and compassionate he was when trying to give my son a haircut and I will always miss the smile on his face when he would see us coming and tell me he was ready with his boxing gloves on. I am truly saddened at his loss and for all of you also. My husband (with his long hair) and I will be there Saturday. If you can Olga, please call me. I can only imagine what you all are going thru. Warm embraces and love going your way; Christina, Lorenzo, Tommy, and Tommy Jr, Downard. 408-230-2252.

I met Carlos 2 years ago when I stopped in for a haircut. He could cut the perfect flat top. Although I knew him for only a few years, his friendship made it feel like a lifetime. He was always a warm and caring person. Carlos was a wonderful person who will truely be missed. Rest in peace Carlos.

Dear Diaz Family, I went to get a haricut today, and to see Carlos. His thoughtful company was the reason I would always come back. Instead of Carlos's warm welcome, I was deeply saddened to see the letters of condolence on the door. I will truly miss him, and send my sympathies to the family.

Doug and I are deeply saddened and shocked to hear about the loss of Carlos. I just saw him and Olga and Carlos Jr. a few weeks ago and commented to Doug that he looked so great and still working...it was amazing to see. Such a wonderful man, a wonderful family and such a terrible and sudden loss. Our hearts are breaking for his family and no words can express - may you find peace and comfort in the many years and memories that you shared with him.

To the Diaz family, my heartfelt condolences. My husband Louis Beronia(who passed away in 2011) had been going to Carlos for haircuts since the 1950's and I met Carlos when my husband and I were dating in 1965. We always enjoyed seeing and talking and joking with Carlos at the barber shop. He was a good friend and will be missed very much. He brought a lot of sunshine into everyone's life that he touched. May the Diaz family find comfort in knowing that many understanding thoughts are with you all now.
