Denis Doute
Resident of Atherton
Born in Orleans, France on September 6, 1956, Denis passed away peacefully in Atherton, CA on January 9, 2012 at the age of 55. Denis was a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique (1976), France's leading general engineering school, Chevalier de l'Ordre de la Legion d'Honneur (2011) and spent more than 30 years with SNCF, the French National Railways in France and in the USA, in various leading positions.
Denis is survived by his wife, Lysianne Aubertin-Doute of Atherton; his children, Dorianne and Simon Doute of Atherton and Guillaume and Damien Doute of Nantes, France; his father, Andre Doute of Wissembourg, France; and numerous family members in France and friends in the Peninsula, United States and France.
Friends may visit Sunday, January 15, 2012 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm and are invited to attend a remembrance service at 2:00 pm at Crippen & Flynn Woodside Chapel, 400 Woodside Road, Redwood City. Denis will be buried in Wissembourg (Alsace), France. Crippen & Flynn

Comme beaucoup, je considère que c'est une chance que d'avoir croisé Denis DOUTE et d'avoir travaillé sous ses ordres. Il aura marqué nombre d'entre nous par ses qualités exceptionnelles de manager, ainsi que par son écoute attentive et respectueuse des autres.

J'ai connu M.Denis Douté lorsqu'il était mon Directeur Régional à Bordeaux. (France)
J'en garde le souvenir d'un Homme au contact très agréable.
Il m'avait remis la Médaille d'Honneur de vermeil pour 35 ans passés à la SNCF, ainsi que l'Honorariat de mon grade lors de mon départ à la retraite.
Je trouve que "partir" à 55ans, c'est totalement injuste et révoltant.
Toutes mes condoléances à sa famille et à ses amis....
I knew M.Denis DOUTÉ when he was "my" Regional Director in Bordeaux. (France)
I remember of a Man with a very pleasant contact.
He had given me the vermeil Medal of honour for 35 years spent into the SNCF(FRENCH NATIONAL RAILWAY COMPANY), as well as the Honorariat of my rank during my retirement.
I think "to leave" in 55 years, it is totally inequitable and revolting.
All my condolences to his family and to his friends....

J'ai connu Denis comme étudiant à Strasbourg, puis à l'X où nous sommes entrés ensemble et étions trés liés. Nous nous sommes ensuite perdus de vue mais Denis était passé me voir à Paris il y a quelques semaines, celà m'avait fait un trés grand plaisir. La nouvelle de son décés m'a profondément attristée. Je garderai gravé en moi le souvenir de sa gentillesse et de sa droiture.
