Michael Saiz Obituary

Michael Saiz, 67, of San Jose, passed away on August 26, 2023. Visitation will be held on September 10, 2023, from 10:00am-2:00pm at Darling &Fischer Memorial Chapel located at 231 E. Campbell Ave, Campbell, CA 95008. Funeral services will be held on September 11, 2023, at 11:00 am at Darling & Fischer, Campbell. Burial will follow at Los Gatos Memorial Park located at 2255 Los Gatos-Almaden Road, San Jose. Michael was born in Stockton, California to Robert and May (nee Kumamaru) Saiz on August 29, 1955. He graduated summa cum laude from San Jose State University with a degree in Political Science. While at San Jose State Michael participated in the Army ROTC program where he completed the US Army Basic Airborne Course at Fort Benning, Georgia and received his Parachutist Badge. After graduation he served in the Army National Guard where he achieved the rank of Captain. He was employed by Sanmina Corporation as a quality control manager. Michael had a love for the San Francisco Giants, Niners and the Golden State Warriors. He was an avid fan of Star Trek and Star Wars. He was a collector of coins and was an ardent reader. Our hearts are truly broken and he will be greatly missed. Michael is survived by his two sons Christopher (Michelle), Nicholas (Christine), sister Stacey (Barrett), parents Robert and May, nephews Noah and Brady and grandchildren Malaya, Ivy and Brooks.
