Ralph Robert Dominguez

1942 - 2022

Ralph Robert Dominguez, 80, passed on December 3, 2022 and is preceded in death by his son Wade, survived by his beloved wife Joyce and sons, Tom and Vance; his brothers Wallie, Paul, Roland, Ron and sisters Belinda and Myra; his grandchildren; Ryan, Ashley, JT, Marlena, Mia and Sharon and great grandchildren; Ryker and Rainey. Ralph was born to Bertha and Wallie Dominguez on July 7th, 1942. The second child of seven children as a youngster his work ethic was formed in fields of Blossom Valley picking prunes and other fruits. He learned the construction trade from his father and worked as a professional carpenter and contractor for the family business, individually and alongside his brothers for over 60 years. A self taught artist, Ralph's paintings, cartoon illustrations, woodwork and poetry won local art awards and were often given as thoughtful gifts to those who inspired his work. He passed on his love of drawing and art to his children and grandchildren. An accomplished motorsports enthusiast, Ralph built and drove off road cars, including dune buggies, sand rails, and motorcycles frequently racing throughout California, Nevada and Mexico taking on adventures such as the Baja 1000 and treks as far away as the deserts of Kenya, Africa. Ralph married the love of his life Joyce Jones in 1973, raising three boys in Morgan Hill and Gilroy. Services will be held on March 20, 2023 at 12:00N, St. Catherine Church in Morgan Hill.
