I remember him catching us smoking but we were outside the back gate so he couldn't do anything. He did really care for all the students. RIP

Bob was a wonderful colleague, always helpful and upbeat with both teachers and students. He was a great role model who enjoyed his job, and helped us to enjoy ours as well. We are all better for having known him. May he rest in peace.

Mr Warfield was the Best PE teacher I ever had. He was always helpful and had a great smile. He would make you work, but you did not know how hard it was. He made everything look easy. The heavens have a great coach now.

Mr. Warfield was outstanding as a "boys dean" at South San Francisco High School. He seemed to know when to be the enforcer and when to be the counselor. I remember the few times I was sent to him, he always attempted to counsel me, and it was just what I needed. He told me I came from a good family, and anything less than good behavior was unacceptable. When I went home one night I actually told my mother Arline, that I had been sent to Mr. Warfield and how he encouraged me to do better. I took his words to heart, and into the military with me where I received four Good Conduct Medals over 21 years. May the Lord Almighty Bless You Mr Warfield for what you did for me and for I'm sure many thousands of young students who walked through your doors. God Bless You and watch over your family.

Sorry to hear. I remember giving him grief when my hotpants were a little too short! I was a TA in his office 1968-69. A good man.

Sad to hear this news re: Coach. He had such a big influence on those he coached and taught. He will be missed by all of us. An Icon at both So. City and El Camino.

My condolences to his family and friends. He was the assistant principal at So. City when I went there. Tough, but fair and always friendly.
