Sharon Lucas Obituary
September 3, 1954 - July 10, 2021
Resident of Cupertino
Sharon Lee Lucas passed away on July 10 from Alzheimer's Disease, a cruel and fatal disease with no cure, no prevention and no way to slow its progression. She was only 56 years old when she was diagnosed in 2010. Though she just recently passed away, she was taken away from us many years ago by this disease. She is finally at peace and now her family and friends can begin to heal.
Sharon was born in Los Angeles County to John and Betty Barr, received her BA degree with highest honors from UCSB and settled down in Santa Clara County with her husband of 44 years, Jon, in 1976.
She was a compassionate and loving daughter, wife, mother, sister and a true friend to many. Sharon is survived by her father and mother; her husband, Jon; her daughters, Laura Brooks and Amanda Brunamonti; her sons-in-law, Kevin Brooks and Marco Brunamonti: her sisters, Sherry Fordham and Marianne Iversen; 3 granddaughters and 6 nephews.
We miss her loving nature, her humor and laugh, her artistic talents and her friendship. Sharon touched the hearts of everyone she knew through her kind words, her generous gifts and her beautifully crafted personalized greeting cards. The family would like to thank the loving staff and caregivers at Cedar Creek for their years of devotion in caring for Sharon.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Sharon's honor to the Alzheimer's Association through our Walk to End Alzheimer's team, YomamaCare, which was started by her daughters many years ago.
