Tameka you will always be in my heart. You taught me so much. Freshman year at Howard University the last thing I wanted to be was your room mate. Lol You were Cali and I was so New York. You were Tupac and I was Biggie. We drove each other crazy but we loved each other. i learned so much that year in and out of class. You helped me to grow. Our paths parted. My Lil Big Sis, I don't know what to say, is that weird considering we grew up together and you always made sure Derrick and I were always okay. I am missing a third of me and it is so hard to get back in line. Like you told me I am the color of fireplace brown and I told you, you are the color of dirty house shoe.(yall know those dirty tan house shoes was Mika's color. I need you to be with me even if I can't see you. I know you is because you kept your promise to mom to makes sure we made it and we did. I love you so much !!!! but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived
okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here
is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.

That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up
and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were

There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for
me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's
chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life
on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not
be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But
one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a
time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will
give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day
was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the
way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,

Tamika,
You were not only my maid of honor, but my sister-in-law and most importantly my best friend and "dime sister". I remember our hilarious conversation where we sang everything over the phone like we were in a musical, and Derrick got so irritated! I miss our conversations and seeing your face. You loved everyone and you made everyone laugh and smile. There is no way I can wrap my mind around this. I love you girl, I miss you sooooooo much. I did not know Tameka long her son playered baseball this year at nvll with my grandson. Tameka was always cheering on the team whether the team was winning or losting she was always in good a spirit. We alway enjoy having her there. She will be missed by everyone who loved her. I was one of Tamika's advisors at Los Altos High School (LA Steppers) and I knew Tamika as a brilliant, gifted and beautiful young woman with a promising future. I am also a fellow LA Stepper and had the honor to step along side Tameka in 1993. I remember Tameka as a positive and sweet person. She always had a smile on her face and treated everyone with respect. She left a lasting impression on me and I am saddened and shocked to hear about her death.
