Terry James Leon passed away on Sat., July 9, 2016 in San Jose, born in Oakland and graduated from Lincoln HS. Served 2 years in Germany during his 6 years with US Army. Our favorite handy man enjoyed all sports. Survived by his only child, Monica Louise and 2 grandchildren, Jason Michael and Jaylene Louise, 2 previous spouses, Carol Smith (David) and Kathi Zapien, and 6 siblings, Carol, Janie, Sherry (Robbie), Paulie, Ricky (Marti), and Frankie (Lynette).
Memorial services with military honors will be held on Sat., Aug. 27, 2016 at 11 am at Vahl's Restaurant 1513 El Dorado, Alviso, Ca.

Terry Terry Terry , 8 years Amazing. Bet you and Ricky are having a ball up in heaven, and as you would say once in a while, with my mommy. You are thought about so much, and your kindness. You were always there for me for advice whether I needed it or not and I just hear so many kind things about you from people. Of course you went above and beyond for your family. Amazing we are raised by the same mother and taught all of the same morals and values, yet we are all so different. Of course we want to grow up to be our own person , yet we are all so different. Terry,Terry, Terry, My thoughts are with you so often, mostly with a funny story. You always made me laugh. You were my brother, my friend, my lawyer, my counselor, and many other wonderful things. We all miss you. The gift and memories you have left all of us are surely treasured. You would be so proud of Monica. I see so many wonderful traits in Monica that u have passed down to her. Happy Happy Birthday Terry. Terry would probably be saying right now, I am celebrating my Birthday with my mommy now, and I am sure you are. You both ate a lot of the same things and were very picky when it came to food. You both liked your food plain. You are in my thoughts a lot Terry and most of the thoughts are very humorous ones. I worked with Terry at the Santa Clara County Procurement department for a few years before he transferred to SCC Libraries . He was very funny, he cared for his fellow workers and would help anyone that needed help. He was the king of "acquiring" ítems for his coworkers, he gave my son a radio controlled car and would not let me pay him back. He was a fantastic photographer and could fix anything . I will miss him he was a great friend!

Dear Terry,I was thinking about you a lot today. You had such a great personality and always made people laugh. Just thinking about all of our conversations we have had over the years, and we did not agree on some things and each one of us would say, well why would you think that or why would someone think of doing this and end up laughing about the situation. One of my fondest memories were when you would say something so bizarre about a situation and we would laugh. I miss your humor I miss you Terry. Love Janie

Dear Terry, I miss you. I want to tell you that you would of been so proud of Monica at your Memorial.She was amazing even though this was so hard for you. The speech that she said about you was just wonderful. And to top it off she gave your brothers and sisters a gift to remember you by. What a compassionate woman your daughter is. And one of your pins from the army, she pinned on your grandchildren. The lessons and love you have instilled in My nice ,will be instilled in her kids. Love Janie

Terry is one of my best friend's oldest brother. The one thing I always noticed was that he consistently had a smile on his face, which is how I remember their Mom, always with a smile on her face, too. A serene, peaceful smile. Janie, his sister, would tell me as the years went by "If you ever need something fixed, just ask Terry, he'll help you ! :) " Thank you, Terry, for always being willing to help someone... Graciousness we can all learn from~
