Tom Kitayama
Union City's first and longest-serving mayor died Tuesday, June 5th. He was 83. Flower magnate Kitayama made history as first Japanese-American to hold office in the state. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation Friday June 15th from 4 - 8 p.m. held at Berge-Pappas-Smith Chapel of the Angels, 40842 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA. Funeral Services will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 16th at Harbor Light Church, 4760 Thornton Ave., Fremont.
