Linda Mae 'Sackery' Stafstrom
Linda Mae "Sackery" Stafstrom of Fayetteville, Ark. passed away on Dec. 8, 2022 at the age of 80 years old.
She was born and raised in Chisholm, MN. She was the third of four children born to Harry and Sally Sackery on April 24, 1942. Linda was very proud of her Finnish heritage and shared a great interest in her family genealogy with her cousin Rick.
Linda loved to travel, taking a vacation to Finland as well as Paris, England, a cruise to Alaska as well as her yearly trips in August to spend time with her Minnesota family.
Linda had a love for reading which she carried with her through her entire life. You never saw her without a book in her hand and her home was full of books. The subject didn't matter. She just loved to read.
She also had a love for animals being on the Board of Directors of the Humane Society serving as secretary, Vice President and President. At one time she raised horses and always had a pet or two in the house.
Her career sent her in the direction of the Human Services field working as an Admissions Counselor at the University. Later she began working for Life Styles Inc. She worked there as a Residential Coordinator and then a Job Coach for adults with disabilities until she retired in 2021.
She will be sadly missed by her nephew, John "Back Seat" Strle of Virginia, MN, her niece in law, Sharon Strle of Gilbert, MN, cousin, Rick Kent of Battle Ground, WA, as well as many extended family members and her wonderful Arkansas family.
Linda is proceeded in death by her parents, her brothers, Milton and Robert, sister, Beverly and nephews, Tony and Jerry Strle.
A Private Graveside Services will be held July 1, in Chisholm Cemetery.
