Jimmy O. "Bimbo" Sawyers, 71, of Metropolis, Illinois, passed away on Monday, Aug. 18, 2025, at his home.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Jimmy was a retired carpenter, of the Baptist faith, and served his country in the United States Army.
Jimmy is survived by his son, Jamie Sawyers; sisters, Teresa Harris and husband Randy, and Glenda Ramage and husband Jerry; brother, Jackie Sawyers and wife Julie; several nieces and nephews.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin Coolidge and Hazel (Douglas) Sawyers; brothers, Danny Sawyers, Dempsey Sawyers, and James Rickie Sawyers; nephews, Lukus Herron, Richie Sawyers, and Dusty Sawyers; several aunts and uncles.
