Giuseppe Noe' Obituary

Giuseppe "Joe" Noe', age 83 of Maynard, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 28, 2021. Joe was the loving husband of Carmela S. "Sally" (DeSalvo) Noe'. Born in Augusta, Sicily, on January 31, 1938, Joe was the son of the late Carmelo and Eva M. (Corbino) Noe'. Joe was raised and educated in Sicily. He served in the Italian Navy from (1957-1960). He was assigned to the F554 Centauro Class Frigate, serving as an engineer. Upon completion of his Naval duties, Joe joined the Italian Merchant Marines. Joe and Sally married on August 12, 1961, in East Boston. The couple first settled in Medford, MA where he was a member of the Medford Son's of Italy and later, they moved to Maynard in 1976 to raise their family together. Joe was a member of the Laborer's Union of North America, Mass. Laborer Union Local 22, for over fifty years. He was also a professional hairdresser in the 70's working at John's of Italy in Concord and Ricardo's in Acton. Joe had a passion for growing beautiful tomatoes and had a robust vegetable garden, growing over two hundred tomato plants from seed every year. He enjoyed cooking for his family and friends, especially seafood dishes. Joe loved attending his grandson's sporting events and shared with him his passion for gardening. He cherished his weekly trips to Lake Winnisquam in Tilton, NH. Joe would cruise the lake in his boat the "Yellow Ribbon". He enjoyed fishing, swimming, and sailing. Joe was also an avid sports fan cheering/jeering for all the local teams. Joe is survived by his wife, Carmela S. Noe' of Maynard, MA; his children, Joseph C. Noe' and his wife Margaret of Round Lake, IL; Maria E. Parodos and husband Themistoclis (Themis) of Acton, MA; his cherished grandson, Zachary M. Parodos of Acton, MA; his sister, Tina DiFronzo of Genoa, Italy. Joe was predeceased by his siblings Lena Noe' and Vincenzo Noe'. Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Joe on Thursday, June 3, 2021, from 5p.m. - 8p.m. at the Fowler-Kennedy Funeral Home, 42 Concord Street, Maynard. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 4, 2021, at 11a.m. at Saint Bridget Parish, One Percival Street, Maynard. Burial will follow at Saint Bridget Cemetery in Maynard.
