Ruth Dean Obituary
Ruth Ida McArdle Dean, age 96, of Midland, formerly of Bad Axe, went peacefully to join the Lord on Thursday, March 17, 2022.
Ruth was born on April 30, 1925 in Detroit, MI, daughter of the late Karl and Margaret (Schadt) Begandt.
She graduated from Cass Tech High School in 1943. She worked at J.L. Hudson following high school and then in a lab to help with the war effort before marrying Dale McArdle in 1947. Following the birth of her three children, she worked at many jobs in retail and health care to provide for them. She married Joseph Dean in August of 1983. They enjoyed 35 years together, traveling in their RV and socializing with family and friends. Her retirement was spent volunteering for her church and the hospital in Bad Axe.
She is survived by her children – Louise (Jim) Dinsmore of Sanford, MI, Dale (Dave) Anderson of Midland, MI and Carl (Bonnie) McArdle of Marlette, MI.
Eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and many step-children and their families.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph and her sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Jack Blose.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 11 am at St. Hubert Parish – Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. Officiating will be Fr. T.J. Fleming. Visitation will held on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 from 4 – 8 pm at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe or Thursday at the church from 10 am until the service time at 11 am.
Memorials may be offered to Huron Medical Women's Auxillary or to the charity of the donor's choice.
