As I have said before, Dan was alway caring and helpful whenever he could be. Whenever you were with him, you felt relaxed. He radiated warmth. I am pleased to write about him again.

I was Woodrow Wilson Class of 1959 with Dan. When I think of Dan, I ALWAYS first see his smile. The last time I saw him was at a second Class of '59 reunion as I related earlier. We chatted as if it hadn't been 55 years since we were classmates. He was particularly interested in the fact that I had a WW transcript listing me as #1 in the class since Margaret Ingalls had announced at the 50th reunion that she was the class valedictorian. Dan and I had a chuckle over that. Yes, his smile and warmth are still with me.

My most sincere sympathy to Dan's entire family.
We became friends at Wilson High through various school activities even though I was in the Class of '60. Recall him being sincere , kind and understanding. Fortunate to have known him.

Dan was kind and warm and authentic. You knew he cared about people. I was a Woodrow Wilson classmate. After we graduated I didn't see him until our 50th and 55th reunions. Dan was the same person I remembered, one to be treasured.

My deepest sympathies go to Helen and the rest of the Ryan family on Dan´s loss. I first got to know Dan in the mid 70´s when I worked in the Middletown Mayor´s office and he was Town Counsel for East Hampton. He was my personal attorney on a number of real estate and family matters over the past 40 years and enjoyed the friendship he and Helen showed me through the years. During my time on the Common Council, I worked closely with Dan, learned from him, and greatly respected his knowledge and integrity. He served the city of Middletown, and all of his clients, with dedication and distinction. As an attorney, as a family man, and as a human being, he was one of the best.

Dan was an excellent lawyer and a true gentleman. I enjoyed meeting with him whether for business or pleasure. He would end each of our conversations with the bromide, "We Holy Cross grads have to stick together." I´ll miss him.
My condolences to his family.
