Jarvis Carr Obituary
Jarvis lived in Middletown for the majority of his life and worked for the city of Middletown for many years.He loved to walk and spend time in the Middletown Parks and was an avid Dallas Cowboy and New England Patriot fan. Jarvis was a kind person who was always willing to help anyone he could.
He is survived by five sons, Jarvis A. Carr Jr. of Ahoskie, N.C., Maurice Parker of New Britain, Mitchell Carr of N. Providence, R.I., Shamar Carr of Middletown and Ancen Singleton of Norfolk, Va.; three daughters, Tora Outlaw, Sheena Outlaw, and Theresa Carr, all of Middletown; three brothers, William Carr of Richmond, Va., Percy Carr of Middletown, and Robert Carr of Queens, N.Y.; two sisters, Shirley Brockers of Middletown and Brenda Carr of New Britain; five grandchildren; a very special friend, Carolyn Green, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Brenda Carr, two brothers, Thomas Swain and James Carr and a sister, Sarah Swain.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 11, at 11 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, 346 Butternut St., Middletown, with the Rev. Dr. W. Vance Cotten Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Middletown.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church and may send messages of condolence to the family at www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.
The Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church St., Middletown, is handling the arrangements.

I loved my uncle so much and will miss him alot. My condolences to the family and especially his kids. He was always smiling and a very kind hearted man. I know i will miss his smile and his very uplifting words. May you rest in peace and say hello to the rest of the family. You are one of God's angels and i will look up at you every chance i get. Jarvis was a good man. I worked along side him for his entire career at the Parks Department, and enjoyed his friendship. He will be missed.
