Robert Mueller Obituary
Robert A. Mueller, 66, of Durham, husband of Anne (Johnston) Mueller, died Saturday August 14, 2021 at Hartford Hospital. He was born in Boston, MA, the son of the late Robert H. and Camille (Glossa) Mueller. He graduated from Marshfield High School in 1973 and from Wesleyan University with a BA in Mathematics in 1977. A forty-year resident of Durham, Bob spent most of his career with Middle Oak Insurance, retiring as a senior vice president with Middle Oak Insurance. He began a second career pursuing his passion for woodworking, co-founding Trees to Tables. As well as woodworking, Bob's loves included music and sailing but most of all his sons and grandsons. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Stuart Mueller and his wife Megan of Medfield, MA, Peter Mueller and his wife Amanda of Poestenkill, NY, and Eric Mueller and his partner Ashleigh of Washington, DC; three grandsons, Oliver, Rowan, and Colin; brothers Mark Mueller (Lisa), Bill Mueller (Karen), and Tim Mueller (Phyllis); sisters, Gretchen Prendeville (John), Paula Pugila (John); and many beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday (Aug. 21st) at 11 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. The family is requesting that those attending be vaccinated and wear masks. I’m so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. I worked for Bob when Middle Oak was Middlesex MutuaI. He was truly one of the smartest people I had ever met and underneath his seriousness, he had a shy yet great sense of humor. Happy for him that he was able to pursue a career that sounds like a passion of his. So very sorry for your loss. He was a great man.

I´m so sorry to hear that my cousin Bob has passed away. Though I haven´t seen Bob in way too many years, I have many fond memories as kids playing games and having good times at Marshfield, the beach, at Uncle Joe´s parties and my parents place in Medfield! Bob enriched my youth. He will fondly be remembered! I´m so sorry for your (our) loss.

Anne, Stuart, Peter, and Eric:
So sorry to hear of Bob's sudden passing. As a cousin on the Glossa side I have memories of Bob stretching back to Avon, MA where we swam in his family's above-ground pool as young children, to Whitford Circle in Marshfield where we explored the nearby sand pits one summer, and to Fieldston Beach where many warm summer days were spent frolicking among numerous maternal cousins of all ages.
Bob has left us far too soon for sure. May he rest in eternal peace.

We were shocked when Dylan called us with the sad news of Bob's passing. We will always remember the nice dinner parties with Anne and Bob, and talking with Bob about his hobbies in music, turntables and woodworking. We were almost neighbours, but moved from Durham to East Haddam last month. Bob will be missed by many!

Oh my! My heart is heavy with Bobby's passing. I remember the hours and days that my brother Paul and I spent together with he and Mark in our youth. We got into as much trouble as our parents allowed (not much) Truly, double cousins. Life went different ways after our younger days. Bob, smart and serious accomplished much and I look at the names of his children and grandchildren now and feel satisfied for him. Life is better because he was with us.
