David Bucher Obituary

David George Bucher
April 12, 1963 - August 9, 2021
Modesto, California - Dave left us unexpectedly at the age of 58 due to complications that arose after a fall. He is preceded in death by his father, George Bucher and his mother, Janice Bucher. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Laura Bucher of Modesto; his sister Karen Mendes (Anthony) and his nephew, Kyle Davidian, all of Discovery Bay; his mother-in-law, Mary Lou Andrews and brother-in-law, William Andrews, both of Weston, Oregon.
Dave was a lifelong Modesto resident who loved his hometown almost as much as his family. He loved the simple things in life, always putting the people he loved and the memories he could make at the forefront of his life. An avid fisherman, one of his fondest memories was celebrating his 40th birthday with his family and many friends fishing in Cabo San Lucas. He often reminisced that it was "a trip of a lifetime". He was also an avid fan of the 49ers and the Giants, and rarely missed a game.
A celebration of life is planned for this Sunday, October 10th at 1:00 pm, at 1613 Irene Ave., Modesto. Anybody who would like to attend and share their stories of friendship with Dave is welcome to come, and in true "Dave" fashion, the 49ers game will be on for those wishing to watch it in memory of him.
