James Jacobs Obituary
January 23, 1931 - May 16, 2022
Modesto, California - James Dale Jacobs, age 91, of Modesto, California passed away peacefully on Monday, May 16, 2022. James was born January 23, 1931 to Charles and Olive Jacobs.
James loved his family dearly, and enjoyed creating new memories with them. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, which he has always been very proud of. James is a retiree of Modesto Junior College. He enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, hunting and golfing. He also liked motorcycle riding which is how he became a part of the Modesto Motorcycle Club.
James is survived by his spouse, Shirley Ann Jacobs (Starr), his daughters Cheryl Ann Stewart, Jana Lynn
(Dennis) Smith, Lori Lee (Donnie) Wallace and his son James Ross (Donna) Jacobs. He also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. James was preceded in death by his son Larry Charles Jacobs.
A visitation for James will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Lakewood Funeral Home - Riverside Chapel, 900 Santa Fe Ave, Hughson, CA 95326. A Graveside Service is scheduled Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in James' memory may be made to Alexander Cohen Hospice House, Veterans' Administration ; and American Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.

To the Jacobs family and all the in-laws and grandchildren, my sincere condolences in this difficult time. I met Jim through my cousin Donna who included me in some of their family gatherings. Such a close, loving family. I know Jim and Shirleys children cherished and were grateful for the time they had with their father. He was a quiet man who loved his sweetheart Shirley so sweetly,holding her hand sitting side by side. How fortunate you all were for the time you had, the memories you have.
