Jess Holt Obituary

MR. JESS LEONARD HOLT JAN. 14, 1943 - OCT. 14, 2006 Mr. Jess Leonard Holt, 63, passed away at his residence in Modesto.

A native of Spiro, Oklahoma, he was a Modesto resident since 1948. He was a General Contractor for 34 years; owned Jesse Holt Construction, and was also a cabinet maker. He was a member of Assembly of God Church of Hughson, member of American Quarterhorse Association, member of National Rifle Association, member of American Paint Horse Association, member of Back Country Horseman Association and a member of Pacific Coast Cutting Horse Association.

His hobbies were horses, hunting, fishing and the wildness mountains.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Holt of Modesto; three sons: Ted Holt., Sr., and Jesse Holt, Jr., both of Modesto and Randy Holt of Seminole, Oklahoma; one sister, Barbara Flynn-Olson of Modesto; seven grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Holt and Katherine Michael, one brother, Aaron Holt and one sister.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 18, 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel. Funeral will be held Thursday, October 19 at 1:30 p.m., Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel. Burial will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park.
