Richard Rhodes Obituary

Richard L. "Dusty" Rhodes, 91, passed away on August 22, 2025, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Born on July 23, 1934 in Ponca City OK, Richard proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Following his military service, he built a long and respected career as a bricklayer with Local 12 in Stockton, California. His dedication to his craft and fellow tradespeople led him to serve as a union business agent for Bricklayers Local 12, where he advocated for the rights and well-being of his colleagues.

Richard was a devoted husband to Esther Weldon Rhodes and a loving father to his children: Erin Gorski, Richard Rhodes II, David Rhodes, Steven Rhodes, James Rhodes, and Dustin Rhodes. His family was central to his life and brought him great pride and joy.

An avid outdoorsman, Richard found peace and excitement in nature. He especially enjoyed deer hunting and had a lifelong passion for motorcycles-interests that reflected his adventurous spirit and love for the open road.

A small remembrance of life service was held in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, honoring Richard's life of service, hard work, and devotion to family.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
