I just learned of your illness and regret not having been in touch sooner. I didn’t realize you were in the SF Bay Area when I worked @Stanford. I will always remember all the weekend Highschool parties with all our mutual friends, the Prom @Merced High and Poly Royal @Cal Poly. You were a great date and friend, and will be dearly missed. PS: I’ve donated $25 to Doctors Without Borders in your honor.

You were always such a pleasure to talk to. I will miss seeing you around the Capitol building. God bless you and your family.

It was always my pleasure to converse with Bob during our high school days. It did not surprise me when I learned later that he entered the political arena.
