Ryan Edgmon Obituary

RYAN ANTHONY EDGMON JUL 16, 1977 - SEP 27, 2010 Our beloved Ryan went to heaven on September 27. Ryan was born in Modesto, attended Lakewood, LaLoma and Johansen High where he was active in baseball and soccer. He then attended Chico State University graduating with a degree in Construction Management. Chico was the perfect fit for Ryan, full of learning, lasting fraternity friendships and intramural sports. After graduation, Ryan worked for his grandfather's company, Hathaway/Dinwiddie Construction in San Francisco and then moved to San Diego with Swinerton Construction. He recently moved to Sacramento as a Construction Project Manager. While in San Diego, Ryan married his longtime girlfriend and love, Jennifer Lessner, whom he met while attending CSUC. Some of his happiest times were spending time with his wife Jen, working and riding motorcycles at the family farm in Nevada, playing frisbee with his dog Abby, being outdoors, and building and fixing'' things. Building an incredible group of friends throughout his life also brought him, and us, such joy. Ryan is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer, grandmother, Elizabeth Hathaway, his father & mother James and Roni Edgmon, twin brother, Zach, (Hollie), younger brother, Nick, and nephew Ty Zachary Edgmon. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. An outdoor celebration of his life will be held for family and friends on November 14, from 1:00-4:00 at 6706 Beckwith Road, Modesto. In remembrance, donations may be made to Community Hospice Foundation, 4638 Spyres Way, Modesto, 95356 or to animal rescue at ASPCA.org. www.modbee.com/obituaries

To Roni, Jim, Zach, and Nick, Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you in this time of sorrow. I will always remember my little dirt boy that played catcher for the lakewwod little league team. He was always in the dirt stopping the ball from the pitcher, sliding into bases, just a bundle of energy! You will always be special to us, not only because of the sports, but also being part of our extended family in our very special neighborhood. We enjoyed those early years so much and continue to talk about them, even now. Those fourth of July, Halloween, and Christmas memories were the best of times. Ryan will always will be special to both of us.

To the Edgmon family, Your family is in my prayers. Ryan will be missed dearly. I went to Lakewood and LaLoma with him and my most fondest memory of Ryan was at recess at Lakewood playing soccer and we were both going for the ball and he tripped me and I broke one of my fingers. It was all fun and games and I laughed and cried at the same time. He was a great soccer player. I will miss him and will always remember that moment in our lives. My heart is with you and your family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Edgemon Family. Many friends come and go in life.... but you always remember your first friends. So many good childhood memories of Lakewood baseball, water gun fights, and school-time fun. I'll always remember Ryan as the pretty boy, fun loving friend that I was honored to grow up with. God bless the family.
