We were privileged to have Tom as a friend for nearly 50 years. He brightened our lives with his generosity of time, kindness, and support. His wry sense of humor kept us laughing. I met Tom in 1978 when my two year old son was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. United Cerebral Palsy of Stanislaus County was just setting up an office in Modesto and Tom was unpacking boxes when I walked in. He greeted me warmly and rummaged through boxes to find me some literature. He encouraged me to get involved with UCP, which I did. Thus began our friendship. Tom dedciated his life to helping others, particularly those with disabilities. He was someone you could count on. Tom is deeply missed by our family.

My heart is saddened after hearing of Tom's death. How often I had thought about Tom and had planned to see him when I was in Modesto. Time passes quickly and the contact did not come to fruition. He was such a valuable friend when I was younger. He will always have a place in my heart! I wish Judy and Sean (and the rest of the family) much peace at this time.

Judy and family -
So sorry to hear of the loss of Tom. My prayers are with you. Tom used to always make sure to make a trip into the Ice Creamery in Oakland where I worked while in college to say hello, while visiting his folks. We are second cousins on his mom´s side.
