Jane Damic Obituary
Born on August 20, 1926 in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of John and Genieva (Tissander) Brothers. On October 1, 1966 she married Robert Damic in Monroe, MI.
In 1972, she started working for Ash Township as manager of the Water Department and continued in that position for 16 years. She remained employed in the department until 1988 when she was elected township treasurer. She held that position for 12 years until her retirement in November, 2000.
Jane enjoyed shopping, quilting and traveling south to visit Charleston, SC, and Savannah, GA. She loved her family.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband, Nick Rabchenia and 2nd husband, Robert Damic; sons, Nick Rabchenia, II, Donald Rabchenia and Christopher Damic.
Surviving are daughter, Jane (Russell) Grabetz of Carleton; sons, Robert Damic, Jr. of Evert, MI, Phillip Rabchenia of Wyandotte and William (Adviya) Rabchenia of Sparta, TN; sister, Phylis ""Tippy"" Gaylik of CA; 9 grandchildren, Adam Grabetz, Shelly Grabetz, Amanda Grabetz, Mathew Rabchenia, Lucas Rabchenia, Hillory Rabchenia, Christopher Damic, Danielle Damic, Hanah Rabchenia and Emma Rabchenia; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to the ProMedica Hospice.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Carleton Chapel.
