Gerald Allen Lunsford

June 11, 1953 - May 10, 2022

Gerald Allen Lunsford, 68, of Morganton, passed away, Tuesday, May 10, 2022.

Born June 11, 1953, he was the son of the late Darrell and Velda Lunsford. Gerald was a member of Praise Assembly of God Church. He was a man of many talents. Gerald loved to fish and loved his dogs. He was a wonderful person and loved his family. Gerald was always willing to help and never asked for anything in return.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Diane Lunsford; sons, Matthew Lunsford of Illinois, Eric Adam Lunsford of Washington State, Chad Beam of Illinois; daughters, Nikki Anderson of Illinois, Jessica Pardoe of Washington state; brothers, Paul Lunsford of Kansas, John Lunsford of Iowa; sister, Judy Grey of Iowa; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his son, Nathan Lunsford; and two brothers, Rich and Jeff Lunsford.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, May 18, at Praise Assembly of God Church. A memorial service will follow in the church, with the Pastors, Kevin Crawford and Boyd Biggerstaff officiating.
