James "Jamie" Lee Raper

July 14, 1970 - April 29, 2021

James "Jamie" Raper, 50, of Connelly Springs, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 29, 2021. He was born July 14, 1970, in Akron, Ohio, and was the son of Brenda Crites Edwards and the late Ralph Raper. He was a dedicated employee at Siegwork Company of Morganton for 29 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and loved to go four-wheeling. He also loved being outside and riding his motorcycle with his fiancée. He is survived by his fiancée, Sharla "Shay" Lewis; son, Joey Durham, and daughter, Jaimie Hill; brother, Danny Raper, and sister, Sherry Raper; grandchildren, Elijah Dowling, Harper Dowling, and Ayden Durham; stepgrandson, Cannon Parish; and stepdaughter, Myranda Parish and husband, William Parish. A private service will be held at a later date by his fiancée, Shay Lewis.
