Frances McPeek Obituary

EDISON - Frances E. McPeek, age 85 of Edison, passed away on June 6, 2024, at her home.

On July 14, 1938, Frances was born to Orville Francis and Mary Elizabeth (Curtis) Cooper in Marion. She graduated from Mount Gilead High School in 1956. She married the love of her life, Richard Paul McPeek on January 6, 1957, after which they shared almost 60 years together full of love and memories before his passing in 2016.

Left to cherish Frances' memory are her daughter, Diana (Michael) Eckenrode of Mount Gilead; brother, Jerry (Amy) Cooper of Lima; sisters: Nancy Roach of Mount Gilead, Sue Potter of Galion, Barbara (Ronnie) Richards of Ashley, Kathy West of Mount Gilead, and Vickie Cooper of Mount Gilead; sisters-in-law, Dottie Cooper McAvoy and Peggy Cooper; grandchildren: Kelly Sue (Dan) Ferguson, Joseph Michael (Amanda) Eckenrode, and Richard Brady (Danielle) Eckenrode; great grandchildren: Eden, Georgia, Isaiah, Amelia, Cole, Michael, Chase, Emma, and Charlotte; and "adopted" son, Troy McDaniels. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. She was the best mom, grandma, great-grandma, sister, and caretaker to all of those that will remember her forever.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Paul McPeek; daughter, Mary Alice McPeek; and brothers: Peter, Robert and John Cooper.

Family will greet family and friends on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, from 5 - 8 p.m at Snyder Funeral Homes of Mount Gilead, 67 N Main Street. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with a procession to follow to Bryn Zion Cemetery. For those unable to attend, her services at the funeral home will be live streamed via Snyder Funeral Homes Mount Gilead Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/MtGileadSFH). The live feed will start five minutes prior to the start of the service.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Edison Gospel Church, 335 S Boundary Street, Edison, OH 43320, or Capital City Hospice, 2800 Corporate Exchange Drive #170, 43231, in Frances' honor.
