Andrew Helms Obituary

Andrew James Helms was born on November 23, 1999 in Charleston, SC. He was 25 years old. A life that was taken from us too soon on August 6, 2025. Andrew is survived by his father James B. Helms Jr. and his mother Rachael B. Helms of Ladson. His girlfriend Laihla Washington. His aunt Tracy Steed (Paul) of North Charleston. He is also survived by his first cousins Joshua Shuler (Tabi), WIlliam Jones III (Emma) and David Rooks (Jessi). His 2nd cousins: Daniel, Shyan,Isabella, Kalenee,Wyla and Mia. Andrew was preceded in death by his grandparents Daniel George Boone & Elizabeth Penny Boone. James B. Helms Sr. & Willie Mae Helms. Great-Grandparents: Limmie Lee Helms & Maxine C. Helms. John H. Skipper & Nellie Skipper. Andrew has touched so many lives in so many ways. The friend that could be called on whenever needed and he would be there. He was boisterous and had an adrenalin for life. He was an avid motorcyclist who fell in love with the ride and was a member of Island of Misfits. A son to James & Rachael Helms, a nephew who always had a hug and a smile for you & a cousin who was a constant in their lives. His absence will always be felt and he will live forever in our hearts. Until we meet again….. Thank you for your prayers, thoughts and contributions. From our whole hearts we appreciate you.
