Chloe Whitehead passed away tragically on Saturday August 16,2025. She was a resident of Midland for the past 13 years and was married to Luke Whitehead since 2017. Chloe worked at the Hemingway Cigar Bar for the majority of her time here, but had recently began working for Floris Flight Services during her studies at Midland College. She had recently completed the Aviation Maintenance Program there and received her FAA A&P license and joined Floris full time as a mechanic. In lieu of flowers the family has started a scholarship fund in Chloe's name for the MC Aviation Maintenance Program. Donations may be made through Peoples Bank in Post Texas. 806-495-0026

I have never met Chloe but my mother was my Aunt Sue’s sister and I knew Jane’s boys as a youngster. We are so deeply saddened for your horrific loss and know that god is embracing each and everyone of you. Please know that you all are in our prayers from Southern California and Nevada. We love you! Although we did not know Chloe, our son Jake was in the MC Aviation Maintenance program with her. He told us she was so smart and always willing to help him and other students. We are grateful he knew her and that he shared this with us. Our thoughts and prayers are with y'all.

We met Chloe years ago at The Hemingway and immediately knew that she was special. Such a warm, vibrant, bubbly soul. If you ever met Chloe, you never forgot her! Our hearts go out to Luke, and all of their families. The loss of this young lady is going to leave a big hole many, many hearts. May peace come to you all.
