Elizabeth Moore Obituary

Elizabeth (Liz) Ann Drake Moore of Ruidoso, New Mexico passed away peacefully on December 20, 2020. Born on September 12, 1938 in Hobbs, New Mexico, she was the only child of James and Ruth Drake. While she grew up in Hobbs she had the chance to live in Mission Viejo, California, Anchorage, Alaska, Midland, Texas and Ruidoso, New Mexico. She graduated from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri in 1958. She was honored and proud that her two daughters also attended her alma mater. Liz loved her children and grandchildren, unconditionally and had lifelong friends far and wide. She was a huge supporter of the Humane Society and always had at least one dog by her side as a constant companion. She was witty with something funny to say about almost everything and was one of the most quotable people ever. Liz is survived by her son, James Moore of Midland and his wife Karen, her daughters Ann Moore Jensen of Tustin, California and her husband, Lance, and her daughter Marilyn Moore Jackson of Austin, Texas and her husband, Dauphen. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Elizabeth Jensen, William Jensen, Alexander Jackson and Drake Jackson. She is also survived by her ex-husband Tom Moore of Midland, Texas. Although no longer married, they shared a love for their children and grandchildren. She will be missed and loved forever
