Suzanna, Jennifer & Gregory, I was so sorry to hear about Greg. I worked with Greg at HNG in Midland and Enron Oil & Gas in Houston. Greg was the reason I moved my family to Houston. Greg was a good friend and a great boss. I will always remember Greg coming to the GPA in San Antonio last year and playing golf with some of his old Midland gas buddies. Greg was excited about going to play golf at Pebble Beach with Gregory and know that they had a great time. Greg will be missed.

I am so saddened by your sudden loss - I was shocked by the loss of Jill and am double saddened by the loss of Greg - but after awhile you will some day smile again knowing they are together - holding hands and looking down from heaven at their family on earth - may the peace of Jesus surround your family during your difficult days...

Suzanna, Jennifer and Gregory,
I was saddened to hear about your Dad. He was really a wonderful guy. We played ball together back in Midland 30 years ago. Greg was a great ballplayer, teammate, friend, husband to Jill and father. He was one of those very few that anyone (myself included) would love to have as their best friend. Greg was one of those that just made this world a better place. I'm honored to have known him.

My prayers are with you all during this difficult time. I knew your dad from our various business dealings while I worked at Gary Vansau State Farm. It was always great sitting with him and chatting about the Ags and how the family was doing. He will be missed!

I just learned of Coach Greg's passing today and I am sorry I missed the memorial service. He was always so kind and patient when helping my daughter at softball. And he just always seemed to look out for everyone and make sure everyone was taken care of and having fun off the field as well. You could really tell he cared about all the girls. He always found something positive to tell them. My daughter truly enjoyed being on the team and learned so much. Coach Greg will be missed by all the "Tigers" and the parents along with, I am sure, all that knew him as he was just a wonderful person! You all are in our thoughts and prayers!

Suzanna, Jennifer and Greg,
I am so sad to learn of your loss. Your Dad was my classmate at Alamo Jr. High and Lee High School in Midland. I just recently visited with him at our 41st reunion and knew instantly that he was a wonderful man. Your Dad's treasure was his family; he simply glowed when talking about Suzanna, Jennifer,Greg and grandchildren. Know that he adored you and will always be with you.
We are all thankful that he was shared with us....Just not long enough.

I was truly caught off guard when my brother Hunt called and told me about Greg's passing.I will miss his sense of humor and his kindness toward myself and others. The poker game that he and Gregory hosted will never be the same without him.I will never forget the time Greg folded his hand and said "Secrest Out".It was totally random, but so Greg.

I met Greg when I just arrived to Houston from Tampa, Florida and was looking to play baseball. I signed up for Spring-Klein youth baseball and was drafted by Greg and that is when I met and be-friended Gregory. Greg was my coach in the 8th grade and then I played fall ball with him while I played for Klein Forest High School. I ended up not getting along well with my highschool baseball coach and missed playing with Greg so much, I gave up my spot to play city ball again with Greg and Gregory and it was one of the best decisions I had made. Together we slaughtered every highschool team who thought that our little Spring Klein team had nothing to offer. Greg was an excellent coach and through the years, my family became very close to his and we did a lot of things together even beyond High School and College with Gregory and Jennifer. The Harless family is one of the nicest families that I have ever known and the loss of Jill and Greg have both been a lot to take in. Greg was there for me when I needed him as a coach and as a mentor and I will miss him dearly.

Greg was a friend from HS days, a business associate for many years and a friend I enjoyed playing golf with. He was a devoted father and family man. Separated by many miles and busy schedules, I regret not being able to see him more. May God bless and comfort his children.

Suzanna, Jennifer and Gregory. Another Angel is now watching over us from Heaven. I remember your Dad from Mariner and he always had time to answer questions no matter how busy his day was. Your family name will be listed in my prayer book.

This note is to all who knew and loved Greg. I had the good fortune to talk to Greg for the first time in 41 years at the recent reunion he attended in Midland. He was the same as he was in high school; just a great, positive person to be around. I feel so lucky to have reconnected with him again for that brief time and to have shared some fun times with him and his high school friends. He will be sorely missed. My heart goes out to his family in their time of loss, but I know, as I am sure they do, he is on to a better place where he will reunite with those he has lost.

iI WENT TO SCHOOL WITH GREG AT LEE HIGH SCHOOL. WE LOST CONTACT AFTER HE MOVED TO SPRING. I COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT I WAS READING. GREG AND I WERE INSEPARABLE IN HIGH SCHOOL. HE WAS VERY A VERY CARING AND LOVING PERSON AND WOULD NOT HAVE EXPECTED ANYTHING LESS WHEN HE DECIDED TO GET MARRIED AND START A FAMILY. MY HEART GOES OUT TO HIS CHILDREN. THE LORD WILL NOT GIVE ANY ONE MORE THAN THEY CAN HANDLE.

You didn't have to know Greg very long to know that he had a warm spirit, kind smile and loving heart. I knew Greg briefly through a bible study grow group that we both belonged to at Faithbridge. I am deeply saddened by his passing and my thoughts and prayers are with his family.

My deepest condolences to Suzanna, Jennifer and Gregory at the unfortunate loss of your father, Greg Harless. I had the pleasure of working for him at Mariner Energy (formerly Hardy O&G). Greg was a fantastic VP of Marketing and through him I learned the Oil & Gas Marketing business - he was truly my mentor. Greg was the epitome of a southern gentleman with his easy smile, great sense of humor, genuine kindness and an all around “guy’s guy”. Greg will be truly missed by all who knew him. With fond memories, Love in Christ –
