John Bonsall "Jack" Lawrence

John Bonsall "Jack" Lawrence passed away peacefully in Richardson, Texas on January 5, 2009. He was born on May 28, 1927 in Des Moines, Iowa and is preceded in death by his parents Vance and Florence Lawrence, brother Charles Lawrence and sister Elizabeth Lawrence Shaw. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Alice Lawrence of Midland, Texas; sister Edith Lawrence Stinner of Houston, Texas; son Steve Lawrence, daughter-in-law Liz Lane, and grandson Thomas Lawrence of Richmond, Texas; son Alan Lawrence and daughter-in-law Anita Tucker of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; son Ron Lawrence and daughter-in-law Betty Lawrence of London, England; granddaughter Jennifer Lawrence of Charleston, South Carolina, grandson Alec Lawrence of Austin, Texas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jack enjoyed a long career with Ortloff Engineers in Midland. He was very active as a member of the Christian Science church in Midland. Jack is greatly missed by beloved family and friends he leaves behind.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 10 at 2:00 p.m. in the Midland College Chapel, Midland, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice or to the Midland College Foundation, 3600 N. Garfield, Midland, TX 79705. Interment will follow on Saturday, January 31 at 2:00 p.m. in Glenwood Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
