Miss valverde is the best teacher I ever had. the night I found out I was one of her students and I remember that morning she hadn’t made it to work and I was so sad. A couple days or maybe that night I had heard the horrible news and it broke me I was devastated, I didn’t wanna go back to school and I mourned when she left this world. I am now 28 and still remember her sweet face welcoming us into her esl class and being so kind. she always did her best with us and never gave up she changed my life for the better and I am for ever greatly blessed to have met her she is truly an angel I think about her all the time and Remember her smile now that I am older and can send my condolences here they go I am truly sorry about your loss she meant a great deal to me and I wouldn’t know English the way I do if it wasn’t for her thank you for blessing this world with your daughter I loved her very much I will for ever hold the best teacher that ever existed in my heart.

I knew Mayra since the sixth grade. She was the best friend one could ever have. We went to junior high school togther and also ninth grade in high school. She was always laughing and had a huge smile on her face. If anyone of our friends were down she would always make us smile. Of all of our friends she had the most dreams, and all her most dearest dreams came true. I offer condolences to the family Navarrette and family Valverde for this loss. I will miss her very much. For this earth has not lost Mayra Valverde but the heavens have gained an angel.

Mayra was a wonderful person with a sweet spirit. She and her sister Maribel were always ready with a smile while they were students at UTPB. They kept busy uplifting others and working hard to reach their goals. We will miss Mayra so much, but we are so proud of her accomplishments. To Manny, Maribel and all the family: I am praying for you and hoping that you will remember and know that we all recognize what a difference Mayra made in her 22 years on this earth. May God bless all of you.

To everybody who knew Mayra,
We may have lost her here, but always remember that Jehovah gave us hope... No doubt that we have been privileged to know Mayra and to know Jehovah, who will resurrect, without a doubt, such a wonderful person! Remember WE are the ones who need to be loyal, so when Mayra comes back to life, she can see us again. . .

My condolences to Mayra's family and her many friends from her congregation and to our students and staff at Alamo JHS.
I hope her friendship is an inspiration to do your best with the life God has given you. Cultivate relationships, nurture, and appreciate them. We never know when a tragedy like this could happen.
Revelation 21:3,4 will comfort you with the hope it contains.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
