Toby Hart

Our precious Toby passed away unexpectedly on March 19, 2021 in Midland, TX without answers as to the cause of this devastating loss. He was born on December 12, 1973 in Lubbock, TX. As a boy, Toby attended school in Midland, and later completed his high school education at Lubbock Coronado High School. He also attended Lubbock Christian University and Texas Tech University. As an adult, Toby worked as a General Contractor and Public Adjuster. He loved God, family, friends, and freedom, as a patriotic American. He never missed an opportunity to dance to country music, especially with the ones he loved. He enjoyed cooking, riding his Harley, and hanging out with his many friends, some of which are life-long. Toby often worked on projects for veterans and police, and was always happy to help a friend in need. Toby also enjoyed training and spending time with his dog, Nikita. He took pleasure in sitting by a fire and exploring random topics in philosophical and scientific ways. He was always curious about the complexity of life, and enjoyed the beauty of nature as God's masterful creation. Most recently, he was learning new computer coding and planning a shrimp boil to raise money for a friend who lost their home in a fire. In short, Toby was an intelligent and kind man who loved fiercely, supported everyone in his tribe, and was a fantastic cook. Toby's memory will be kept and held close by his parents: Sam Harvey Jr. and wife Glenda Pearcy Hart of Midland; sister, Nikki Hart and husband Christopher Kincaid, with their children, Chelsey, Alexis, and Cora Belle; two maternal uncles: James Pearcy, Dan Pearcy and wife Cindy; two maternal cousins:Shawn Pearcy and wife Mandy with their daughter Emma. Krista Pearcy with her children, Delton and Haley Peredes; paternal uncle: Scott Hart and wife Lori with their children, Hillary and Quinton Hart; paternal aunt, Beulah Lucas and her sons Mark ,Alan and Ray Lucas; Girlfriend, Angelique Johnson as well as his many friends. Toby was preceded in death by his Grandparents: Glenn and Carrie Pearcy and Sam and Ruby Hart. Graveside service will be at Tatum Cemetery in Tatum, NM on Monday, March 29th at 11:00 a.m Texas time.
