CLOVIS, NM — Cassandra "Candy" Toler Rattie, age 72, of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Mount Airy, North Carolina, to the late Frank G. and Frances Toler on April 22, 1945. Candy was an announcer for WPAQ Radio Station while in Mount Airy with her own program "Candy's Corner." She moved to Clovis, NM, in 1973. She was the owner/operator of California Waterbeds for a number of years and she spent the last 21 years doing what she did best, selling cars for Hamilton Big Country Ford. She loved her grandchildren to pieces and she will be greatly missed by all. Candy is survived by her daughters, Cissy R. (Greg) Pipkin of Lubbock, Texas, and Sydnor R. (Kevin) Collins of Clovis, NM; her sister Carma T. (Bob) Corriher of Pilot Mountain, NC; her grandsons, Dalton, Dylan and Logan Pipkin of Lubbock, Texas, and Chayton Collins of Clovis, New Mexico; her step-granddaughter, Natasha Tevebaugh of Sapulpua, Oklahoma; her niece, Lee G. (Tony) Anders of Pilot Mountain; her nephew, Bradley (Tonya) Golding of Mount Airy; her uncle Granville (Lucy) Sydnor of Mount Airy; and her aunt Anne Toler Shore of Winston-Salem, NC. She is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Frank G. and Annie Toler and William L. and Carma G. Sydnor. A celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. in the Steed Todd Funeral Home Chapel in Clovis, NM. The Very Reverend Alan Brockmeier, officiating. Honorary Bearers are all the staff at Hamilton Big Country Ford.
