Eric Adreon
November 6, 1975 - May 17, 2022
Eric Bradford Adreon, age 46, passed away on Tuesday May 17th, 2022. He passed away in his sleep beside his best friend, a German shepherd named ShyShy. Eric was born to Linda Davidson and Brad Adreon in Roseburg, Oregon. They relocated to Bainbridge Island, Washington, when he was four, where he grew up with his brothers, Ryan and Travis. In school he excelled in many sports.
Early in his journey he was led to Montana, where he met Carissa Little and had their daughter, Taylor Little. He was giddy and enthusiastic about fatherhood, and adored Taylor to no end. Four years later he met Brandi Weldon, and together they had his son, Bradley Adreon. Eric was no less enthusiastic about fatherhood, and Bradley and Taylor became the lights of his life. He attended Montana Tech full-time as a co-parent and single father. While in school he was asked to design and head a mentor program for fellow students, which he did for the remainder of his enrollment while also maintaining an impressive academic record, making the Dean's List. He graduated in 2013 with a degree in chemical dependency, which he used to work with troubled youths. He took teenagers struggling with addiction backpacking through the Bob Marshall wilderness, guiding them through a radical experience of spiritual growth and healing.
He loved his "chitlins", Taylor and Bradley, immensely. Their quality time was packed with movie nights at home cuddling on the couch and bike rides on the walking trail, throwing bread to the ducks. He spent summers driving them through the mountains or backpacking through the east ridge, camping in hammocks and sleeping bags. When they weren't in the mountains they were on the beach, catching crabs and playing in the saltwater and sand. Both the Rocky Mountains and the Puget Sound were incredibly dear to his heart, and he passed on this love to his children.
Eric was an adventurous spirit from the beginning. At age 5 he was picked up by the Bainbridge police for riding his big wheel alone down one of the busiest streets on the island. When he grew up, he vanned and backpacked through California for a year and returned with photographs and stories of a wild, spontaneous life. Eric's spirit was restless and inspired, eager to experience as much of this world as he could, and experience it he did. He was a talented and innovative artist who devoted his life to creating art but refused to sell it, only giving away or trading his art on the road. He was a deeply devoted and loving father, leaving his children with years of memories to cherish. He was an activist, idealistic and radical with a heart capable of more empathy and compassion than one could even think possible. He loved the world and everyone in it deeply-not only his family and friends, but every stranger on the street or brief acquaintance. He was gentle and grounding, with the best bear hugs. He brought a golden light when he entered a room, and knowing him was a gift. He was a beloved brother, father, son, and friend, and will be missed deeply.
Eric was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Leon Adreon and Hank White; his grandmother Delores Prefontaine; and his uncles, Terry White and Bill White. Eric is survived by his children, Taylor Little and Bradley Adreon; his life partner, Jesse Graff; his parents, Linda and Mick Davidson and Brad and Cathy Adreon; his siblings Travis Adreon and Ryan Adreon, Krista Carlock, Rick Escamilla, Katie Davidson and James Davidson, and their families; dear friend Dan Knudson; grandmother Joy Adreon; aunts Tonja Adreon and Lonna Engle; uncles Mark Adreon and Tim White; and numerous beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family will be holding a private memorial to scatter Eric's ashes in Puget Sound at a later date. In remembrance of Eric's life the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to the non-profit organization TWLOHA.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Eric's passing. I went to college with Eric, we became great friends throughout the time. He told me of many of the adventures you mentioned and always talked of his kids- he was a very proud dad. He very much loved his family. We lost touch after graduation but he did send me the book he wrote- I was so proud of him for publishing it. The world and his family has lost a huge amazing heart. Sending all of my love during this time of loss and always. My condolences. Rest easy Eric.
