Beverley L. Adreon, 80, of Boxholm, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone, Iowa.
A funeral service for Beverley will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Boone First United Methodist Church in Boone, Iowa with Rev. Adam Gordon officiating. Burial will follow at Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service on Saturday at the church. Carson-Stapp Funeral Home in Ogden has been entrusted with arrangements.
Beverley LaRae McGinnis, daughter of Harold and Glenna (Worden) McGinnis was born March 23, 1945, at Langley AFB, Virginia. She graduated from United Community High School with the class of 1963. Following high school, Beverley attended AIB in Des Moines where she received her business degree.
On September 19, 1965, Beverley was united in marriage to Dennis Adreon at Boone First United Methodist Church. To this union two children were born, Travis and Jill.
Beverley worked for over 33 years at Boone Bank and Trust in Boxholm and Boone. She was an avid Iowa State Cyclones fan. She also attended all of her children and grandchildren’s sporting events and school activities. When her children were little, Beverley and her family spent many weekends in the summer on the pontoon at Don Williams Lake. She spent many years working elections in Boxholm and was also church secretary at the Boxholm Methodist Church for several years. Above all she cherished time spent with her family.
In addition to her parents, Beverley was also preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Adreon; and her sister, Joyce Busch.
Beverley is survived by her son, Travis (Carla) Adreon of Ogden, IA; daughter, Jill (Mitch) Stream of Churdan, IA; six grandchildren, Adam, Jared, and Meredith Adreon, and Mason, Emma, and Broc Stream; brother, Harlan (Georgian) McGinnis of Monterey, CA; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
