Dana Ciccolella Obituary
AGE: 32 • Carteret
Dana N. (Gavor) Ciccolella, 32, of Carteret passed away Monday, March 21, 2011 at her home in Carteret. Born in Rahway, she was a lifelong resident of Carteret. Dana was currently employed with Burger Express in Carteret. She was actively involved and dedicated her time to Carteret Pop-Warner cheerleading, Carteret Sportsman Association, Little League of Carteret, Carteret Softball, and also Carteret Cub Scouts.
Dana is predeceased by her father, John Gavor. She is survived by her loving children, Jordyn, Julianna, Anthony, Jake; her mother, Eloise Bindos of Jackson; a sister, Tabitha Soper and her husband Ernie of Ocean Gate; her step fathers, Jim Carpenter and Lenny Bindos, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends. She was a dedicated and loving mother, daughter and sister.
Visitation will be Friday, 3pm to 7pm at the Chubenko Funeral Home, 625 Port Reading Ave., Port Reading. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dana's children c/o the funeral home or please call the funeral home for details. Dana, I met you when you were only a few months old and had the pleasure of babysitting for you and Tabitha for several years. I always had a great time with you and your sister and loved watching you grow up. I know I haven't seen you in years but I often think about you and your family. Dana...I attended your service tonight. I came to support your stepdad, and my friend, Jim Pat. I saw your beautiful children and all of your friends and family that came to say goodbye. There were so many. You really touched a lot of people in your short time here. It is evident that you are loved much and will be deeply missed. Dana I never got a chance to meet you or simply become your friend. I saw you time and time at football games and baseball games. How do you even start off saying goodbye to a loved one, when that goodbye is absolute & forever.
Is there even a real way to accomplish such a thing.
Knowing that persons face and laugh will no longer be a part of the atmosphere that was integral to the creation of such blissful times, is completely devastating & heartbreaking.
Will it be possible for these moments to ever be replicated again.
During the bleakest and darkest of times, one searches for answers to so many questions every which way possible.
It seems the deeper one searches & questions, the less answers are found or solace gained.
Faith and will-power is pushed to breaking points & limits beyond everyday recollection.
If there is a saving grace during these tragic & emotional times, it is being in the company of family & friends.
Though this time seems like a dark endless road, I do have faith that positive light will come from your loved one and shine into your heart and soul to let a healing process begin in due time.
Heartfelt memories of good times will eventually overpower the hurt and fill the emptiness.
The special bond & love that's shared is strong enough to heal the heartache from even the longest & hardest of goodbyes.
Heaven is your new home now Dana - you are loved by many, one of a kind and will never be forgotten.
