Edward McGrath Obituary

Edward McGrath

AGE: 91 • Peabody, MA

Ed passed away peacefully at Brooksby Village in Peabody, MA, surrounded by loved ones. He now is reunited with his beloved wife Bettie of 66 years who predeceased him. Bettie and Ed raised their family in Short Hills, NJ while spending summers on the shore in Bay Head, NJ. They moved to Peabody in 2007. Ed had a life filled with adventures, laughs and many, many stories. He loved finding opportunities in business and in life. As a partner in a surplus electronics business he was the master of deal making. Ed loved everyone and there was no one he wouldn't talk to. Friends and family were the real wealth in his life.

He leaves his daughter Linda McDavitt and her husband Steve of Ipswich, MA and his son Edward McGrath, Jr. and his wife Virginia of Point Pleasant, NJ. Grandchildren include Heather Fontaine and her husband Randy of Georgetown, MA, Tucker McGrath and his wife Courtney of Arlington, VA and Ted McGrath of San Diego, CA. For all of us that knew him and loved him- Thanks for the memories!

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life at the Stone Soup Café, 144 High St. in Ipswich MA on Feb. 16, 2013 from 1PM-5PM.
