I cannot write enough to express how much Findlay meant to the Alba Family, especially me. I looked forward to seeing him in baseball and basketball every week and was sad when he wasn't able to make it certain times. He was and will always be an inspiration to me personally. I felt so blessed to have had the opportunity to not only coach him in both sports, but also blessed just to know him. His smile lit up a room and I know his image of his smile in my mind will always light me up. God Bless you and lets all of us continue what he did so naturally in making people smile and inspire. He was a special young man and I will ALWAYS remember him.

My years at Lakeview School will always be remembered as the best years of my life. Meeting the Urban family and having the honor of working with Findlay brought me some of my favorite memories. His spunk and spirit were contagious; his eyes and smile could melt any heart. I just know my little buddy is in heaven teaching everyone up there a thing or two; running and jumping and playing with all of the other little angels. Sending love and strength to you all.

Findlay left a lasting impression on the hearts of all the people that he came in contact with. I had the pleasure of working with Findlay at St. Thomas Church and to no surprise I think I learned more from him than he learned from me! His spirit and inner strength drew people to him...not to mention his beautiful smile and gorgeous eyes! Findlay is a precious gift who will be missed by all. May you be comforted to know that his memories will live on in everyone's hearts.

Findlay was not only my buddy for buddy ball, but he was like a little brother to me. He isn't suffering anymore, and is running around, playing baseball, and telling jokes. Also he is putting smiles on peoples faces in heaven, just like he did on earth. I love Finn so much, and he will always be remembered and NEVER forgotten love you buddy <3
In Findlays honor I am going to try and get an organization together, for Cerebral Palsy treatment. I will try and raise as much money as possible. If anybody would like to help get me started please let me know.

As a parent of a child lost at a young age, I grieve for you and with you. My deepest condolences to the family of this child. Try to gain comfort in the thought that your child has gone home and will be there waiting for you when it is time. Your child no longer suffers and is free of any pain he may have had. God will watch over you during this time and for all time.

Findlay taught others to recognize their own disabilities. Most of us go through life juggling our responsibilities. We laugh, we cry, we love and we feel pain and know joy…family, friends, school, jobs…trying to be the best we can be. Our thoughts are focused on the things we need to do, yet we depend on memories we created through life. We meet people and naturally allow our first impressions to form our opinions. I got to know Findlay over time. Honestly I felt challenged to connect to this little guy. I learned in the purest form of joy through Findlay’s smile the exceptional loving kid he is. I always thought myself the child advocate. Always passionate about kids and teaching and over time the kids with “challenges” brought me the greatest affirmation. Yet I was not sure how I could connect to this kid but those huge eyes commutated directly from his soul. I believe God must bless His “special kids” with an inner strength. Findlay’s eyes invite people to him. We are the people outside his chair that need to learn… to overcome our disability and experience Findlay and not the package of your first impression. I know I need to work on this daily. Quite the little teacher that Mr. Findlay. If you were fortunate enough to get to know Findlay you have been blessed. Your life has been enriched.
His parents got it right. If every child was parented like Findlay and his sister the world would be a much better place. Courtney and Michael have had responsibilities and challenges yet they always strived to encourage Findlay to participate in every aspect of childhood. Parenthood is tough. They have come out stronger and more determined over the battles, crises and pain. The stuff they are made of must have filled that Findlay with the resilience he shows the world. This family successfully provides Findlay with every opportunity to experience life to the fullest. Fin’s smile reflects the love that surrounds him. Even in his journey from their arms, they are committed to do the best for their son.
I speak of Findlay in the present. I don’t believe he should rest in peace. I hope he is leaping, dancing and swinging a bat. I bet he has not stopped talking since he joined his loved ones in his heaven. As a parent I cannot fathom the pain Courtney and Michael know. The outpouring of love and support from the throngs of people who want only to lift them up may help cement their memories of the beautiful boy they cherished. So many are saddened to know Findlay has moved on because we were nurtured by the love he generated. Findlay….we continue to love you and celebrate your joy in heaven.
Love always….”Mrs. Teore”
