FRANCES S. KONOPS
AGE: 88
SOUTH PLAINFIELD
Frances S. Konops, 88, passed away November 8, 2009 at home. Born in North Carolina, she has resided in South Plainfield most of her life. Frances was very proud to have been a part of a ladies auxiliary who packed parachutes for the solders during WWII. She was formerly a quality control worker for Revlon in Edison.
Mrs. Konops was predeceased by her loving husband Walter Konops Sr. who passed away in 2000 and by her son Walter Konops Jr. who passed away in 1999. Surviving are her sons, Robert Konops of South Plainfield and Kenneth Konops and his wife Noreen of Las Vegas; her daughter-in-law Kathleen Konops; her six grandchildren, Walter, Chris, Kathy, Kelly, Leah and Sarah and her four great grandchildren, Ian, Kaleb, Addison and Luke.
Funeral services will begin Saturday 9:00 am from the South Plainfield, James W. Conroy Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10:00 am funeral liturgy at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in South Plainfield. Interment will be in the St. Gertrude's Cemetery in Colonia, NJ. Visitation hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the funeral home.
