CUNNINGHAM
AGE: 57 BRIDGEWATER
Gregory D. Cunningham, 57, of Bridgewater, son of the late William and Anna Marie (Schindelar) Cunningham, died Wednesday, February 4, at home after a long illness. He was born in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School in 1969 and lived in Trenton while working as an Environmental Engineer for the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), State of New Jersey. He retired in 2008 after 27 years of service. He moved to Bridgewater in 1993. A graduate of the University of Montana and received his masters degree in Sanitary Engineering from the University of Missouri. Greg was one of the "good guys" from the Somerville area who had an engaging personality but was serious in his golf game and his beloved New York Yankees. A member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Somerville.
Surviving are his brothers, Frederick and James Cunningham; his sister, Kathleen Watson; and 10 nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 9, at 11 am in the Immaculate Conception Church, Mountain Ave., Somerville. Visiting hours on Sunday, February 8, from 7 pm - 9 pm at the Cusick Funeral Home, 80 Mountain Ave., Somerville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
