Beloved Husband, Father, Brother, and Son; Army Veteran, Retired Master Plumber, Past Commander of American Legion Post 152 and Commander of V. F. W. Post 9015 of Newark N.J.
The family of James E. "Jenks" Jenkins, of Roselle, N.J., is saddened to announce his passing on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the age of 74.
James, was predeceased by his parents Mary Jenkins, Printes Jenkins, and Lillian Jenkins Sayles, brother Sammy Lee Jenkins, Dwight Jenkins, Billy Humphert, and Calvin Hewins.
James is survived by his wife Constance Jenkins; his two children James A. Jenkins, Jr. of Franklin Township, N.J., and Nicole Campbell, of Milltown N.J.; two brothers, Abd Assabur Muhammad of Brooklyn, N.Y., Kevin Dickerson of Plainfield, N.J., and six sisters Carolyn Jenkins and Connie Buwa (Ellis) of Plainfield N.J., Janice Brown (John) of Greenville S.C., Roxie Idegwu of North Brunswick N.J., Donna Perkins of South Orange, N.J., and Ernestine Nelson of Bridgewater, N.J., six grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The services will take place on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, from 9am-12pm, at Ruach Outreach Ministries, 724 Park Avenue, Plainfield, N.J. 07060. Visitation will be from 9am-11am, and Funeral services will be from 11am-12pm. Internment is at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery/ New Jersey Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562. The repast will be held at the Elks Lodge/ Mohawk Lodge 1357 West 3rd Street, Plainfield, NJ 07063 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m..
He will be missed by the many who loved him.
